On October 8, 2024, an excursion was held at the Department of Nuclear Physics and High Energy for Lyceum No. 104 named after O. Olzhych, Obolonskyi district of Kyiv.

The teachers and students of the department gave an informative lecture to schoolchildren, during which:

• they introduced them to the main directions of development of nuclear energy and high energy physics in Ukraine and the world;
• they talked about modern achievements in these areas, the prospects for the introduction of new technologies, the role of scientific research in improving nuclear safety, as well as opportunities for young specialists in the field of energy and fundamental physics;
• the students shared their experience of internships and studies.
  Particular attention was paid to international cooperation, innovative developments and participation of Ukrainian scientists in international scientific projects.

Special attention was paid to the international project NURECAB, aimed at developing educational programs in the field of nuclear energy and radiation safety. The lecturers spoke about the goal and objectives of this project, its significance for the Ukrainian educational community, as well as the opportunities it opens up for students in the field of scientific research and international cooperation.
