Excursion for the Optical and Mechanical College of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
On December 10, 2024, the Department of Nuclear Physics and High Energies of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was visited by 4 students from the Optics and Mechanical College of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
Teachers and senior students of the department:
conducted a meaningful tour of the department, during which they introduced the students to scientific laboratories, modern equipment and areas of research conducted at the university;
spoke about the prospects of nuclear education in Ukraine, opportunities for students in the field of nuclear energy, radiation safety, high-energy physics and nuclear medicine.
Additionally, the issue of cooperation between Ukrainian educational institutions with international scientific centers, internship opportunities abroad and career prospects for graduates in the field of nuclear technologies was highlighted.
Special attention was paid to the international project NURECAB, aimed at developing educational programs in the field of nuclear energy and radiation safety. The lecturers spoke about the goal and objectives of this project, its significance for the Ukrainian educational community, as well as the opportunities it opens up for students in the field of scientific research and international cooperation.
