On February 4, 2025, the Department of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Power of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was visited by students of the Kyiv Lyceum “Leader”.

The students showed particular interest in the modern equipment of the department, in particular laboratory facilities for the study of nuclear processes, radiation detectors and other scientific instruments.

Questions were actively asked about the use of this equipment in the educational process and scientific research.

In addition, future applicants were interested in the prospects of nuclear education, the possibility of internships at nuclear industry enterprises, international exchange programs, as well as career paths for graduates in the field of nuclear energy, radiation control and fundamental physics.

Special attention was paid to the international project NURECAB, aimed at developing educational programs in the field of nuclear energy and radiation safety. The lecturers spoke about the goal and objectives of this project, its significance for the Ukrainian educational community, as well as the opportunities it opens up for students in the field of scientific research and international cooperation.
