Excursion for 145 lyceum
On March 12, 2025, the Department of Nuclear Physics and High Energies of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University was visited by 25 students from school 145. An interactive lecture was organized for the guests, during which they covered current areas of nuclear science, modern technologies in energy and high-energy physics, as well as issues of radiation safety and opportunities for professional growth for young people.
After the lecture, a tour of the department’s laboratories took place: experimental installations, radiation measurement devices and examples of practical application of equipment in scientific projects were demonstrated. The students showed keen interest, asked questions about educational programs, internships and employment prospects.
The event was dynamic and inspired those present to further familiarize themselves with the industry.
Special attention was paid to the international project NURECAB, aimed at developing educational programs in the field of nuclear energy and radiation safety. The lecturers spoke about the goal and objectives of this project, its significance for the Ukrainian educational community, as well as the opportunities it opens up for students in the field of scientific research and international cooperation.
