Open Day at our department

The Department hosted an Open Day, providing prospective students with an opportunity to learn more about its academic programs, research activities, and student life.

The event began with an introduction to the Department. Faculty members presented the educational programs, current research directions, laboratory facilities, and the opportunities available to students pursuing degrees in physics. Special attention was given to international cooperation, academic mobility, and participation in research projects and scientific conferences.

An important part of the event was dedicated to discussing gender equality in science. The participants learned about the achievements of women in physics, current initiatives aimed at encouraging girls to pursue STEM careers, and the importance of creating equal opportunities for everyone interested in scientific research.

Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students shared their personal experiences of studying at the Department. They spoke about their participation in international internships, summer schools, conferences, and research projects, while also presenting photographs from their academic travels and discussing their professional development.

Following the presentations, the visitors took part in a guided tour of the Department. They visited the teaching and research laboratories, explored the scientific equipment used in experimental work, and learned about the research carried out by the Department.

A highlight of the tour was a visit to the Department’s newly established museum. The museum exhibition presents the history and development of the Department through archival photographs, historical documents, and scientific instruments that were used in teaching and research over previous decades.

The Open Day was held in a welcoming atmosphere and gave prospective students an excellent opportunity to ask questions, meet faculty members and students, and gain a better understanding of the academic and research opportunities offered by the Department.
